Wednesday, 4 June

Registration Day in Miami Beach

Time: 09:00 to 18:00

Location: Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, USA

On June 4, Miami will be taken over by the Gumball 3000 cars and their teams. Before the rally begins, all teams are invited to donate to the Gumball 3000 Foundation. The team that raises the most money will secure the prestigious pole position, followed by the next nine highest fundraisers.

The 2014 entrants will park their cars on the start grid along the world-famous Ocean Drive in Miami Beach’s Art Deco district. Vehicles will be displayed in donation order and remain illuminated by the neon lights overnight until the official flag drop the following morning.

Thursday, 5 June

Day 1: Miami to Daytona to Atlanta

Time: 10:00 to 13:00

Location: Ocean Drive, Miami Beach, USA

Following the drivers’ briefing by Maximillion Cooper, entrants return to their cars on Ocean Drive. The start flag drops at 10:00 sharp as drivers head toward Daytona International Speedway, beginning the first leg of the 2014 Miami to Ibiza rally.

Time: 11:00 to 15:00

Location: Daytona International Speedway, Daytona, USA

Daytona marks the first official checkpoint. Cars will be displayed across the Speedway grounds while entrants enjoy lunch in the Velocitorium, take a guided tour, drive parade laps of the circuit, and for a select few, experience high-speed passenger laps.

Atlanta: Concert & Cars

Time: 17:00 to 23:00

Location: Centennial Olympic Park, Atlanta, USA

Gumball 3000 arrives in Atlanta for a hip-hop concert at Centennial Olympic Park alongside a major vehicle display. Cars will begin arriving around 18:00 and remain on show near the Fountain of Rings until the following morning.

Friday, 6 June

Day 2: Atlanta to Charlotte to New York City

Time: 09:00 to 11:00

Location: Centennial Olympic Park, Atlanta, USA

After a night of live music and VIP events, participants depart Atlanta for Charlotte, North Carolina, and the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

Checkpoint: NASCAR Hall of Fame

Time: 11:00 to 15:00

Location: NASCAR Hall of Fame, Charlotte, USA

The second checkpoint features a plaza display outside the museum, followed by a private lunch and VIP tour celebrating NASCAR history.

New York City: Where Cars Become Cargo

Time: 21:00 to 00:00

Location: South Street Seaport and JFK Airport, New York City, USA

On the evening of June 6, Gumball 3000 arrives in New York City. Around 30 cars will remain on display along Fulton Street overnight, while more than 60 vehicles continue to JFK Airport to be loaded onto cargo planes bound for Scotland.

Saturday, 7 June

Day 3: New York to Edinburgh, Scotland

Time: 11:00 to 18:00

Location: New York City, USA / In Transit

Vehicles cross the Atlantic by air, landing in Scotland in preparation for the next driving stage.

Meanwhile, activities in New York remain private for participants, including a relaxed brunch and exclusive engagements before departing overnight for Scotland.

Sunday, 8 June

Day 4: Edinburgh to Manchester to London

Time: 09:00 to 11:00

Location: The Mound, Edinburgh, Scotland

After reuniting with their cars on a local runway, teams gather at the National Galleries of Scotland on The Mound for a Scottish brunch. Refueled, the rally continues south toward Manchester, marking the next stage of the journey.

Location: City of Manchester Stadium, Manchester, United Kingdom

Manchester City Football Club hosts the first lunchtime checkpoint of the European leg. Teams will display their cars within the stadium grounds while enjoying a private lunch inside. After experiencing the highlights of Manchester, the rally continues south to London.

Gumball 3000 on Regent Street, London

Time: 12:00 to 23:00

Location: Regent Street, London, United Kingdom

Gumball returns to its home city of London. Regent Street will be closed from Oxford Circus to Piccadilly Circus for a full Gumball takeover, one of only four traffic-free events held on the iconic street in 2014. From midday, the area will feature multiple car displays, a Capital FM stage, BMX Vert Series competitions, a Transformers movie truck, Nicolas Feuillatte champagne bars, a family zone near Hamleys Toy Store, and more. Cars begin arriving from 18:00 and remain on display overnight.

Monday, 9 June

Day 5: London to Secret Checkpoint to Paris

Time: 10:00 to 11:00

Location: Regent Street, London, United Kingdom

After a night in the UK capital, teams depart for mainland Europe, stopping first at a top-secret checkpoint a few hours outside London.

Checkpoint: Top Gear Test Track

Time: 11:00 to 15:00

Location: Top Gear Test Track, United Kingdom

Teams leave Regent Street and head south to the revealed secret location, the Top Gear Test Track. After completing the checkpoint activities, the rally continues southeast toward France.

Paris: A Night by the Seine

Time: 18:00 to 23:00

Location: Port des Champs-Élysées, Paris, France

Teams arrive in Paris for an elegant evening of dinner and champagne. Cars will be displayed along the Seine while drivers attend an evening event at Place Vendôme.

Tuesday, 10 June

Day 6: Paris to Circuit d’Albi to Barcelona

Time: 09:00 to 10:00

Location: Port des Champs-Élysées, Paris, France

An early start precedes the long drive south toward Barcelona. Drivers leave the highways temporarily to test their cars on track.

Checkpoint: Circuit d’Albi

Time: 11:00 to 15:00

Location: Circuit d’Albi, Le Sequestre, France

The town of Le Sequestre hosts the lunchtime checkpoint at Circuit d’Albi, marking Gumball’s second visit since 2011. Drivers have the opportunity to take their own cars onto the circuit before continuing into Spain.

Barcelona: Sunset by the Beach

Time: 19:00 to 22:00

Location: W Hotel, Barcelona, Spain

Teams end the day beside the Mediterranean, with cars displayed outside the W Barcelona while participants enjoy VIP beachside hospitality.

Wednesday, 11 June

Day 7: Barcelona to Gumball Boat to Ibiza

Time: 11:00 to 12:00

Location: W Hotel, Barcelona, Spain

After a late breakfast, teams begin the final day, driving south to the port of Denia to board the ferry to Ibiza.

Checkpoint: Mediterranean Crossing

Time: 15:00 to 19:30

Location: Port of Denia, Spain

Following a coastal drive, teams and vehicles arrive at Denia to set sail for Ibiza.

Ibiza: The Finish Line

Time: 20:00 to 23:59

Location: Port of Ibiza, Ibiza, Spain

After docking, the final drive runs from San Antonio across the island to the Port of Ibiza. Carrer Andenes hosts the closing celebration, featuring a half-pipe vert ramp with Tony Hawk and friends, a DJ booth, and the final car display. Participants then head to their hotel for the awards ceremony and closing party.

The Gumball 3000 cars remain on public display along Carrer Andenes throughout the day before being collected by their drivers in the evening.

120 supercars driving 3,000 miles across two continents and five countries in seven days, via motor racing circuits, football stadiums and castles. 

Regent Street was closed down for the spectacular event, which saw thousands of fans lining the street to watch. Stars including David Hasselhoff, Tinie Tempah, Dirty Sanchez star Matthew Pritchard, Xzibit, Eve and Deadmau5 took part and we assisted in securing additional celebrity Gumballers to join the rally, including Jonathan Ross and David Haye.

Fast forward 11 hours - and the Gumball 3000 Rally will have landed in Reno, Nevada - USA.

Maximillion Cooper – today known as Mr. Gumball – decided to combine his passion for cars, music and fashion to create the most eccentric and iconic road rally, inspired by The Cannonball Run, the wildest race in America.
